I accept debit/credit, FSA or HSA cards. When you complete your intake paperwork, you will enter your card information into the secure online client portal. This card will be kept on file and charged automatically for any session-related fees.

I am no longer in-network with insurance plans. This was not an easy decision to make, because making therapy financially accessible has always been important to me.
Over time, I’ve become increasingly concerned about the growing influence and control that managed care systems and corporate healthcare platforms exert over mental health treatment, and I no longer want to partner with them in my practice. I also came to see that being in-network with insurance does not always make therapy more affordable, especially when clients have super high deductibles or coinsurance.
Using insurance also requires a mental health diagnosis and gives the insurance company a role in determining whether your care meets their rules for coverage. This can create its own barriers to care and means sharing private information about your treatment with the insurance company.
I still care deeply about access to therapy, that hasn't changed. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be able to receive reimbursement for part of your sessions. I offer a benefits checker to help you understand what your plan may cover. I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots and participate in Open Path to provide sliding scale availability.
I may choose to contract directly with an insurance plan again in the future. For now, this approach allows me to remain independent while still helping clients make therapy more financially accessible.

Yes, I reserve a certain number of sliding scale spots for people who cannot afford current market rates for therapy, or who do not have adequate health insurance coverage. I do that through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. Those rates are $40-$70 per 50 minute individual session. Please ask me about whether I have any sliding scale openings available. If I do, I'm happy to go over the details of getting set up with Open Path.
-
Sliding scale is a specific term that refers to a significantly reduced rate based on your financial situation. It is for when people's financial situations would be a serious barrier to getting care, or when they don't have adequate health coverage.
Reduced fee is just that, a reduction of the full fee. If someone I'm working with encounters a financial hardship and needs a temporary fee reduction, I can often work with them to find a solution that makes sense for both of us.
I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use this tool below to see if you qualify for reimbursement for my services.
Session Logistics & Getting in Touch

I do both! I see people in person in Fort Washington, PA. Take a look at some of the pictures of my office below.

Great question! Finding the right fit can be one of the hardest parts of finding a therapist. I want to make sure you feel confident about whoever you ultimately choose to work with. If you think I might be a good choice for you, let's set up a 15 minute phone consultation. This will give both of us a chance to see if we should explore working together. If we agree, we can set up an intake appointment.
-
Some of the information I ask for is needed to help determine a diagnosis if you’re looking for insurance reimbursement. Either way, the more information I have ahead of time, the less time we need to spend gathering those details during our intake session. That helps us make the most of our time together and gives me a fuller picture of what’s bringing you to therapy.
-
I recommend starting with weekly sessions for the first month so we can build momentum and I can really get to know you. After that, we can decide together what schedule works best for your needs and goals.
