Individual Therapy for Adults

Life doesn't have to be falling apart for therapy to be helpful.

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or caught in patterns you can't quite explain. Maybe you're navigating a major life transition, struggling in your relationships, grieving a loss, or simply sensing that something isn't working the way it used to.

Whatever brings you here, you don't have to figure it out alone.

I offer individual therapy for adults in Pennsylvania and Ohio who are looking for a space to slow down, understand themselves more deeply, and create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right for you, with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique experiences.

Do you relate to any of these?

You might be...

  • Feeling anxious or overwhelmed more often than you'd like.

  • Carrying stress that never seems to fully go away.

  • Navigating a major life transition involving work, relationships, family, health, independence, or identity.

  • Noticing the same relationship patterns repeating themselves.

  • Struggling to set boundaries, communicate your needs, or advocate for yourself

  • Questioning your identity or wondering who you're becoming.

  • Feeling stuck or disconnected without knowing exactly why.

  • Processing grief, loss, or a significant life change.

  • Wanting to understand yourself on a deeper level instead of simply getting through each day.

You don't have to relate to everything on this list to benefit from therapy. Sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing that something feels different and wanting support as you begin to unpack and make sense of it.

When Anxiety Takes Up Too Much Space

Anxiety can show up in many different ways. It may feel like generalized anxiety or chronic worry that follows you throughout the day, or it may appear through more intense periods of panic, hyperarousal, or overstimulation.

You may find yourself:

  • Getting caught in catastrophic or worst-case-scenario thinking.

  • Feeling anxious in anticipation of something that hasn’t happened yet.

  • Experiencing panic-related symptoms or feeling constantly on alert.

  • Avoiding certain situations because of fear or uncertainty.

  • Becoming easily overstimulated or emotionally overwhelmed.

  • Struggling with insomnia or disrupted sleep connected to anxiety.

  • Having difficulty separating anxious thoughts from what is actually happening.

In therapy, we can explore what may be contributing to your anxiety while also building practical emotional regulation skills. This may include learning how to check the facts, recognize patterns in your thoughts and nervous system, respond to anxiety with greater awareness, and feel more grounded when worry begins to take over.

A Personalized Approach to Therapy

No two people arrive in therapy with the same story. Your experiences, relationships, identities, and goals all shape what meaningful support looks like for you.

  • We begin with what feels most important right now

We may focus on a specific concern, such as anxiety, relationship stress, grief, or a major life transition.

  • We look beneath the surface

Together, we can explore how different areas of your life may be connected and gently uncover patterns that have been difficult to recognize or change alone.

  • We move at your pace

Our work will be shaped around your individual needs, capacity, and goals, not a predetermined formula or one-size-fits-all approach.

I see therapy as a collaborative process. You're the expert on your own life; my role is to offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can explore what's happening beneath the surface and work toward change that actually fits you. Some sessions may focus on processing difficult emotions. Others may be more practical — building coping skills, working through a decision, or finding new ways of relating to yourself and the people around you. Together, we can create space for greater self-understanding, more intentional choices, and a life that feels more aligned with both who you are and who you are becoming.
